Polarising camera filter Walimex 19953
The Walimex 19953 polarising camera filter (62 mm) reduces glare and reflections to improve color saturation and contrast, making it suitable for landscape photography and other outdoor scenes. The filter uses multi-coated glass mounted in a precision-manufactured metal ring and is supplied with a protective cover to limit UV exposure and extend service life.
The multi-coated glass minimizes internal reflections and maintains image clarity while increasing color saturation and contrast. The precisely manufactured metal socket ensures smooth rotation and reliable positioning of the circular polarizer. The protective cover shields the filter from UV radiation during storage, helping to preserve optical quality.
Screw the 62 mm polarising filter onto the front thread of a compatible lens. Rotate the outer ring while observing the scene through the viewfinder or live view until reflections are reduced and the desired increase in color saturation and contrast is achieved. Make small adjustments to the rotation to fine-tune the effect. Remove the protective cover before use and store it back on the filter when not in use.
For best results use the polariser at middle focal lengths and with non-wide-angle lenses; on very wide-angle lenses the effect may be uneven across the frame. Avoid stacking multiple filters unless necessary to prevent vignetting; when shooting with long exposures or in low light, compensate exposure as the polariser can reduce light transmission.
