Threading Die Set MAR-POL MAR-POL GWINTOWNICA 4pc for 1/2" to 1 1/4"
Threading Die Set MAR-POL MAR-POL GWINTOWNICA 4pc for 1/2" to 1 1/4"
MAR-POL GWINTOWNICA 4-piece threading die set for cutting or repairing external threads on rods and pipes, covering sizes from 1/2" to 1 1/4". The set is intended for manual external thread forming operations in workshop and maintenance environments and is compatible with common thread repair and fabrication tasks in plumbing, automotive and general metalworking.
The four-piece die set provides a compact range of sizes (from 1/2" to 1 1/4") that reduces the need to carry multiple individual dies. Each die is designed for manual use, allowing controlled cutting or restoration of external threads on rods and pipes. The set is suitable for on-site repairs and workshop applications where quick thread creation or refurbishment is required.
Select the die corresponding to the required thread diameter within the 1/2" to 1 1/4" range. Secure the rod or pipe in a vise to prevent movement and ensure proper alignment. Apply appropriate cutting oil or lubricant to the workpiece and the die to reduce wear and improve thread quality. Start the die onto the rod or pipe with careful, even pressure, turning the die holder or wrench clockwise to cut the thread. Periodically reverse the die slightly to clear chips and maintain correct cutting. Continue until the desired thread length is achieved, then remove the die and clean the threaded area.
Use cutting oil or suitable lubricant for cleaner cuts and longer die life. Ensure the workpiece is held securely and aligned with the die axis to prevent cross-threading. Inspect threads after cutting and deburr as needed. Store dies clean and dry to avoid corrosion.
