Audio Adapter Marmitek Connect DA21 Black
The Marmitek Connect DA21 Black converts digital audio signals (Toslink optical or coaxial) into an analogue left/right stereo output. It is a compact audio adapter that enables connection of devices with only digital audio outputs to amplifiers or speakers with RCA stereo inputs. The unit supports uncompressed digital stereo and includes a Wolfson digital-to-analogue converter for accurate sound reproduction up to a 192 kHz sample rate.
The adapter supports both Toslink and coaxial digital inputs and outputs an analogue stereo signal suitable for amplifiers with red/white RCA inputs. It handles 16- and 24-bit resolution and multiple sampling frequencies (8, 32, 44.1, 48, 96, 176.4 and 192 kHz) to preserve audio detail. Inclusion of a Wolfson DAC improves conversion quality, and the compact black housing makes it easy to place in most home entertainment setups.
Connect the digital audio source to the Marmitek Connect DA21 using a Toslink optical or coaxial cable. Connect the adapter's left and right RCA outputs to the amplifier or active speakers using standard RCA cables. Power the unit if a separate power input is provided, then select the corresponding analogue input on your amplifier. The adapter automatically converts incoming uncompressed digital stereo to analogue for playback.
Use quality optical or coaxial cables and short RCA leads to minimise signal loss. If your amplifier has volume control only on a different input, set appropriate volume on the source device before switching to the analog input to avoid sudden loud output.
