The Massa 80 cm 5-in-1 reflector disc is a multi-surface lighting tool for photography and videography. This round, collapsible reflector offers five surface options—typically silver, gold, white, black and translucent—in a single accessory to shape and control light during portrait, product or outdoor shoots. With an 80 cm diameter it provides a balance between reach and portability, and its foldable construction makes it easy to carry and store.
Advantages
The reflector disc consolidates five common light-control surfaces into one compact unit, reducing the need to carry separate modifiers. Its collapsible frame enables quick setup and compact storage, while the variety of surfaces lets users add contrast, warm tones, neutral fill or complete diffusion as required. The lightweight construction supports handheld use or mounting with a stand or assistant, and the round shape produces natural, even reflections useful for facial highlights or product sheen.
Suitable for
- Outdoor portrait sessions to fill shadows and reduce harsh sunlight
- Studio portraiture to add catchlights or soften facial shadows
- Product photography for controlled highlights and balanced tones
- On-location video interviews and run-and-gun shoots for quick light modification
- Diffusing direct sunlight when using the translucent panel
Key specifications
- Diameter: 80 cm
- Surfaces: five-function disc — silver, gold, white, black, translucent
- Shape: round
- Construction: collapsible frame with fabric panels
- Portability: folds to compact size for transport
How to use
Choose the surface that matches your lighting goal: use silver to increase contrast and specular highlights, gold to add warm tones, white for neutral fill, black to flag unwanted light or increase contrast, and the translucent panel to diffuse harsh sunlight. Hold the reflector at different angles relative to the subject and key light to control intensity and direction of reflected light. When working alone, lean the reflector against a stand or assistant for a stable fill. To set up, unfold the disc until the frame locks, select the required surface by removing or flipping the cover if provided, and position it close enough to produce the desired effect without intruding into the shot.
Usage recommendations
Store the reflector in its carry case when not in use to protect the fabric surfaces. Clean gently with a soft cloth and mild detergent if necessary; avoid abrasive cleaners. When folding, follow the manufacturer’s folding instructions to prevent deformation of the frame. Use a dedicated stand or sandbag when exposed to wind to prevent tipping or damage.
