Steel Carpenter's Square MEGA 350 mm model 21135
Steel Carpenter's Square MEGA 350 mm model 21135
The Steel Carpenter's Square MEGA 350 mm model 21135 is a right-angle measuring tool designed for accurate layout and marking in woodworking and light metalworking. It provides a rigid 90° reference with a straight, flat edge for scribing lines, checking squareness of joints and edges, transferring angles and measuring short distances on workpieces. The square’s steel construction delivers durability and stability for repeated use in a workshop or on-site carpentry tasks.
The steel blade and body resist bending under normal workshop conditions and retain a consistent 90° angle for reliable layout work. The flat measurement edge allows precise contact with material surfaces for clean scribe lines and accurate checks of corners and edges. Its compact 350 mm size balances reach and control, making it easy to position on smaller workpieces while remaining convenient to store and transport.
Place the inside corner of the square snugly against the edge or corner of the workpiece so the blade and body form a stable 90° reference. For marking, hold the square firmly in position and scribe along the flat edge with a pencil, knife or marking tool. To check squareness, align one leg of the square with one edge of the part and observe whether the opposite edge matches the other leg; small gaps or light visible deviations indicate out-of-square. When measuring short distances, use the flat edge as the datum and read or transfer dimensions by eye or with the aid of a secondary measuring rule.
Store the square on a flat surface or hang it to avoid warping. Keep the measurement edge clean and free of nicks; a light file or stone can restore a slightly damaged edge. For the most accurate results, use the square on stable workpieces and combine with clamps or a straightedge when marking long lines.
