Masonry Line MEGA 1.7 mm x 100 m 61793 – bricklaying and alignment cord
Masonry Line MEGA 1.7 mm x 100 m is an alignment cord intended for bricklaying, masonry and construction layout tasks. The 1.7 mm diameter cord supplied on a 100 m reel offers a continuous visible line for marking, leveling and aligning mortar joints, brick courses and wall edges. The cord is suitable for both outdoor and indoor use on building sites and for DIY projects where straight, repeatable references are required.
The cord provides a consistent, taut guideline that helps achieve even brick courses and straight walls. Its 1.7 mm thickness balances visibility and strength, resisting fraying and stretching under normal site conditions. Supplied on a compact reel, the line is easy to unroll and rewind for repeated use and storage. Designed for masonry work, the cord is compatible with standard line blocks and mason’s pins used for temporary anchoring.
Secure one end of the line to an anchor point such as a mason’s pin, line block or fixed fixture at the required level, then walk out to the opposite anchor and tension the cord until straight. Use the taut cord as a visual guide for laying bricks or applying mortar, checking alignment frequently and re-tensioning as needed. After use, rewind the cord onto the reel to prevent tangles and store in a dry place to prolong service life.
For best results, pair the cord with appropriate anchors (line blocks or mason’s pins) and a spirit level to establish accurate reference heights. Avoid excessive tension that could damage the cord, and inspect the line for wear before each use; replace if frayed or weakened.
