Drill Bit Set MEGA 81005 SDS+ for concrete, sizes 5, 6, 8, 10, 12 mm
MEGA 81005 SDS+ drill bit set for concrete contains five high-strength bits in diameters 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm. The set is intended for use with SDS+ rotary hammers and covers the most common hole sizes for anchors, dowels and through-fixing in masonry and reinforced concrete. Designed for impact drilling, these bits allow efficient drilling in concrete, brick and stone for both professional and DIY applications.
The SDS+ shank ensures quick, secure mounting and optimal power transfer from the rotary hammer to the cutting head. Solid carbide or carbide-tipped cutting edges (depending on the bit) provide wear resistance and maintain drilling performance under repeated impact. A flute design facilitates fast dust removal from the hole, reducing heat build-up and improving drilling speed. The selection of diameters in the set eliminates the need to purchase single sizes for common fixing tasks.
Choose the drill bit diameter suitable for the fixing or hole required and insert the SDS+ shank into the rotary hammer until it locks. Select the hammer or hammer/drill mode on the tool and position the bit perpendicular to the work surface. Apply steady axial pressure and allow the tool to perform the cutting action; avoid excessive force that could increase wear or breakage. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear dust from the hole and to cool the bit during extended drilling sessions. After use, clean the flutes and store the bits in a protective case or holder to prevent damage.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection and dust mask. Match the bit diameter to the recommended anchor or dowel size and follow the rotary hammer manufacturer's guidelines for speed, impact settings and maintenance. For drilling in reinforced concrete, progress slowly when encountering rebar and consider switching to a dedicated rebar-cutting bit if frequent contact occurs.
