Drill Bit MEGA SDS+ 18 mm for Concrete, model 81835
Drill Bit MEGA SDS+ 18 mm for Concrete, model 81835
MEGA SDS+ 18 mm drill bit for concrete, model 81835, is designed for use with SDS+ rotary hammers to create precise round holes in concrete, stone and masonry. With an 18 mm working diameter, this masonry drill bit is intended for anchoring, dowelling and through-hole drilling required in construction and renovation projects. The shank is compatible with SDS+ chucks, enabling efficient hammering action and reliable bit retention during heavy-duty drilling.
The drill bit delivers consistent hole diameter and straight drilling thanks to a hardened tip and optimised flute geometry that evacuates dust effectively. Its SDS+ shank provides secure fitting and quick bit changes, while the robust steel body resists bending under impact. The design balances percussion performance and durability for repeated use in concrete and natural stone.
Fit the MEGA SDS+ 18 mm drill bit into an SDS+ compatible rotary hammer until it locks into position. Select the hammer drill mode for percussion drilling in concrete or masonry. Start drilling at low speed to create a guide groove, then apply steady pressure and maintain a perpendicular angle to the work surface. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear accumulated dust from the hole and allow cooling. For through-holes, continue until the required depth is reached; for anchoring, verify hole depth and clean the hole before inserting anchors or dowels.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, hearing protection and a dust mask. Match drill diameter to anchor or dowel size and avoid excessive side load to prevent premature wear. When drilling deep holes, withdraw the bit frequently to remove debris and reduce heat buildup. Store the bit dry and protected to preserve tip condition.
