Wide lens Meike 12mm F2.8 MILC Black Metal 72mm Filter
The Meike 12mm F2.8 MILC is a manual-focus wide-angle lens designed for APS-C mirrorless cameras. It features a durable metal construction, a compact form factor and a 72mm filter thread. With a 12mm focal length and a bright F2.8 maximum aperture, the lens provides an approximately 99° field of view suitable for capturing broad landscapes, architecture and scenes that require strong perspective control.
The lens offers a wide visual angle with low distortion for expansive compositions, a fast F2.8 aperture for improved low-light performance and depth control, and a robust black metal body that ensures durability and reliable handling. Its 12-element/10-group optical design is intended to deliver good image quality across the frame while remaining lightweight at 0.36 kg.
Attach the lens to a compatible Fujifilm X-mount mirrorless camera and set focus manually using the focus ring. Choose aperture according to depth-of-field and light conditions — use wider apertures (f/2.8) for low-light situations or to emphasize foreground subject separation, and smaller apertures (toward f/22) when greater depth of field is required. Use a tripod for long exposures or low-light landscape and astrophotography to avoid camera shake.
To minimise flare and ghosting when shooting into strong light, use a lens hood and consider shading the front element with your hand or body. For best image quality, use high-quality 72mm filters and perform careful manual focus checks, especially when working at wide apertures or at infinity focus distances.
