Wide lens Meike 12mm F2.8 MILC Black 12/10 elements
The Meike 12mm F2.8 MILC wide-angle lens is a manual-focus lens for APS-format mirrorless cameras. Constructed with a metal body and an optical design of 12 elements in 10 groups, it delivers a wide 99° field of view suitable for capturing expansive landscapes, architecture and interior scenes. The lens is compact (65.8 mm length) and accepts 72 mm filters, offering practical portability without sacrificing image quality.
This Meike 12mm F2.8 lens provides a very wide perspective with up to approximately 99° angle of view and a fast F2.8 aperture for control over depth of field. The 12 elements in 10 groups optical formula is designed to reduce aberrations and preserve detail across the frame. Durable metal construction and a compact form factor make the lens suitable for travel and on-location work, while the 72 mm filter thread enables use of standard screw-on filters.
Mount the Meike 12mm F2.8 on a compatible APS-format mirrorless camera using the appropriate lens mount. Use manual focus to set the plane of focus; wide-angle lenses typically have a large depth of field, so focus can often be set near the hyperfocal distance for maximum sharpness across the scene. Select an appropriate aperture—use wider apertures (F2.8) for subject separation or low-light shooting, and smaller apertures for greater depth of field in landscape and architectural work. Attach a 72 mm filter if you need polarising, neutral density, or protective filters.
For landscape and architecture, stop down to F8–F11 and focus near the hyperfocal distance to maximise edge-to-edge sharpness. Use a tripod for long exposures or night photography and consider a polariser or graduated ND filter (72 mm) to control reflections and balance sky exposure.
