Sander Metabo DG 700
The Sander Metabo DG 700 is a compact pneumatic/AC-powered rotary sander designed for versatile surface preparation. With a maximum idle speed of 22,000 RPM and a 6 mm collet diameter, this tool handles sanding, grinding, deburring, moulding/routing and engraving on flat and curved surfaces. Weighing 0.83 kg and finished in black, green and grey, the DG 700 combines robust construction with a lightweight, ergonomic housing made from impact-proof plastic for convenient one-hand operation and improved handling in hard-to-reach areas.
The DG 700 delivers particularly powerful and robust performance suitable for demanding use while remaining practical and lightweight for easy operation. An ergonomically shaped, cold-insulating plastic housing reduces user fatigue, and a user-friendly exhaust guide through the handle directs airflow away from the working area to avoid dust turbulence. The sound-proofed air outlet and a sound level uncertainty of 3 dB contribute to quieter operation compared with unshielded tools. Compact dimensions and a 6 mm collet make the sander adaptable to precision tasks as well as general material removal.
Before use, secure the correct collet and accessory with a 6 mm shank suitable for the intended task. Connect the tool to the appropriate AC power source following local electrical safety rules and check that speed and ventilation are unobstructed. Hold the DG 700 by its ergonomic handle and apply light, even pressure—allow the rotary action to perform material removal rather than forcing the tool. Use controlled passes for finishing or progressive grit changes for sanding. After finishing, disconnect power and clean ventilation paths and the collet area of dust and debris.
Use compatible 6 mm-shank accessories rated for the DG 700's maximum speed. Wear suitable personal protective equipment, including eye, hearing and respiratory protection when sanding or grinding. Maintain the tool by keeping the exhaust guide and air outlets free of dust to preserve quieter operation and long-term performance.
