Angle Grinder Metabo W 18 L 9-125
The Metabo W 18 L 9-125 cordless angle grinder is a compact 18 V tool with a 125 mm (12.5 cm) disc diameter, designed for universal cutting and grinding tasks. With a maximum idle speed of 8,500 RPM and lightweight construction (1.6 kg), it offers efficient performance and easy handling. The tool includes electronic safety shutdown to reduce kickback, electronic soft start, restart protection after battery change, and compatibility with the 18 V CAS battery system.
The grinder combines a powerful motor and slim ergonomic design to allow low-fatigue work in confined spaces and overhead. Metabo Quick enables tool-free disc changes via a quick-locking nut, and the guard is adjustable without tools and twist-proof. Built-in electronics protect against overheating and overload, and safety features such as electronic safety shutdown, soft start and restart protection increase user safety. The tool is compatible with a wide range of 18 V battery packs from CAS partners.
Fit a compatible 125 mm cutting or grinding disc and secure it with the Metabo Quick quick-locking nut for tool-free replacement. Adjust the guard to the required position and ensure it is locked. Insert a charged 18 V CAS battery pack and engage the switch; the soft start function will provide smooth ramp-up. During work maintain a firm two-handed grip and allow the tool to reach operating speed before applying it to the workpiece. If the disc jams or stops unexpectedly, the electronic safety shutdown will reduce kickback; release the switch and check the disc before restarting. Use restart protection to prevent accidental starts when changing the battery.
Use LiHD or manufacturer-recommended 18 V CAS battery packs for longest runtime and consistent performance. Select discs rated for 125 mm and the required application (cutting, grinding, abrasive), wear appropriate personal protective equipment (eye, ear, gloves) and follow local safety regulations. For heavy or continuous work consider periodic breaks to avoid overheating and prolong motor life.
