Saw Metabo KGSV 72 XACT
The Metabo KGSV 72 XACT is a professional mitre saw designed for precise crosscuts and mitre cuts in workshop and construction environments. Powered by an 1800 W motor with an adjustable idle speed range from 2200 to 6300 RPM, the saw balances cutting power and control for a variety of materials. The left mitre setting reaches up to 50°, and the saw uses a 216 mm blade diameter, offering practical cutting depth and width for routine carpentry, skirting and panel work. Compact dimensions (540 mm wide, 660 mm deep, 415 mm high) make the unit suitable for mobile use on site or in a workshop setting.
The KGSV 72 XACT combines high input power and variable speed control to adapt cutting performance to wood, plastics and non-ferrous materials. A left mitre angle of 50° expands cutting geometry options for complex joinery and skirting applications. The saw’s compact footprint and compatibility with standard 220–240 V AC supply support easy installation and mobility. Integrated features common to professional mitre saws — such as sliding mechanism compatibility, extendable support surfaces and provision for dust extraction — increase usability and help maintain workplace cleanliness.
Position the workpiece securely on the saw table and align it against the fence or adjustable stop for accurate mitre or crosscuts. Select an appropriate saw blade for the material and ensure the blade is correctly mounted and tightened before operation. Set the desired idle speed within the 2200–6300 RPM range to match the material: lower speeds for plastics and non-ferrous metals, higher speeds for clean cuts in wood. Adjust the mitre angle (up to 50° to the left) and, where applicable, the sliding and bevel settings for the required cut geometry. Use the saw guard and dust extraction outlet if available, and keep hands clear of the blade while cutting.
Use carbide-tipped blades matched to the material and tooth count appropriate for the finish required. When cutting long or large workpieces, employ table extensions or external supports to maintain stable feeding. Engage dust extraction to reduce airborne chips and improve visibility. Always follow local safety regulations and wear suitable protective equipment — eye, hearing and respiratory protection when necessary.
