How to use

Connect the tester to the cable under test and, if required, plug the appropriate far-end passive ID unit into the remote end (ID1–ID8). Select the test mode for the cable type (Ethernet, coaxial, telephone) and start the test. Read the large display to identify wiring errors (open, short, jumper, reversed or crosstalk) and view the measured cable length and distance to faults. Follow the voice prompts for far-end recognition when using remote IDs. The device automatically calibrates length measurements and runs self-checks to adjust for battery or temperature variations.
