Microconnect USB Cable USBAB15B-ACTIVE 15m USB 2.0 A to B Black
Microconnect USB Cable USBAB15B-ACTIVE 15m USB 2.0 A to B Black
The Microconnect USB Cable USBAB15B-ACTIVE 15m USB 2.0 A to B Black is an active USB extension cable engineered to maintain reliable USB 2.0 data transfer over a 15-metre distance. It connects devices with USB Type B sockets—such as printers, scanners and other peripherals—to a USB host port on a computer, hub or wall charger. Gold-plated contacts on the A and B connectors support consistent signal transmission and resist corrosion. An integrated signal booster compensates for attenuation over long runs, enabling the cable to sustain the USB 2.0 data rate of up to 480 Mbit/s.
The integrated booster ensures stable signal strength across the full 15 m length, reducing the risk of data errors and connection dropouts. Gold-plated connector contacts provide improved conductivity and durability compared with standard contacts. The cable’s USB 2.0 specification supports full and high-speed device compatibility, while the neutral black jacket offers a discrete appearance for office and home environments. Its active design eliminates the need for additional repeaters or separate power injectors in most setups.
Plug the USB Type A end into a USB host port on your computer, hub or wall charger and connect the USB Type B end to the peripheral device. Ensure both host and device ports are free of debris and fully inserted until the connectors click or feel secure. The integrated booster operates transparently and requires no separate power source in typical configurations. For best results, avoid sharp bends and kinks along the cable run and keep the cable away from sources of strong electromagnetic interference.
For reliable performance, connect the cable directly between host and device without chaining multiple active extenders. If the connected device draws significant USB power, verify that the host or hub can supply sufficient current; use a powered USB hub if necessary. Store the cable coiled loosely to prevent permanent bends and inspect connector contacts periodically for cleanliness.
