Grip grater Microplane 46020 Black Stainless steel
Grip grater Microplane 46020 Black Stainless steel
The Microplane Grip Grater 46020 is a manual stainless steel grater with a soft-touch handle and non-scratch end tabs. At 304.8 mm high, it features the original fine razor blade design that produces delicate, lacy shavings from hard cheeses and precise citrus zest without cutting into the bitter pith. Constructed from durable stainless steel with a thermoplastic elastomer grip, it is intended for everyday kitchen use by home cooks and professional chefs.
This grater combines a high-quality stainless steel microblade with an ergonomic soft-touch handle for secure, comfortable use. The fine cutting surface produces even, airy shavings from hard cheeses and clean, thin citrus zest. Non-scratch end tabs protect work surfaces while stabilizing the tool during use, and the durable materials are suitable for frequent kitchen tasks.
The Microplane Grip Grater is designed for fine grating and zesting and is not intended for coarse shredding of large volumes of soft cheeses or vegetables. For bulk shredding of potatoes, cabbage, or soft cheeses where thicker strands are required, a coarse box grater or a food processor may be more efficient.
Hold the soft-touch handle firmly and press the non-scratch end tabs against a stable surface or hold the tool at an angle over a bowl or plate. Move the ingredient across the blade with steady, even strokes using light downward pressure. For citrus, grate only the colored outer peel to avoid the bitter white pith. Clean the blade carefully after use, rinsing under running water and using a brush if needed to remove fine particles; allow to dry before storage.
Use steady, controlled strokes and keep fingers clear of the blade. For best results when zesting citrus, rotate the fruit and remove only the colored peel. Clean promptly after use to maintain blade performance.
