The Mikrotik BaseBox 5 Grey is an outdoor enclosure designed for the RB912 wireless unit, providing protection against weather while enabling 5 GHz wireless operation with PoE power delivery. The housing includes two RPSMA antenna connectors and space for three additional antenna connectors if the RB912 miniPCIe slot is used for a second wireless interface. The case offers bottom exits for USB, Ethernet and a grounding wire behind a protective door and is supplied with a PoE injector and power supply unit.

How to use

Install the RB912 unit inside the BaseBox 5 enclosure and connect the required external antennas to the RPSMA connectors. If a second wireless interface is added via the RB912 miniPCIe slot, install the antenna and use one of the additional connector positions. Route the Ethernet cable and, if needed, a grounding wire through the bottom exit and close the protective door to maintain weather protection.
