The MikroTik OmniTIK 5 PoE ac is an outdoor wireless access point with 802.11ac support, designed for pole mounting. The unit includes a weatherproof enclosure, two integrated 7.5 dBi 5 GHz omni antennas, five Gigabit Ethernet ports, a USB Type-A connector, and a PoE injector and power supply. It is powered by a 720 MHz CPU with 128 MB RAM and supports both high-power 802.11a/n/ac dual-chain wireless and backwards compatibility with 802.11a/n CPE.

How to use

Mount the OmniTIK 5 PoE ac on a pole using the supplied mounting kit and connect the provided PoE injector or another compatible 48–57 V power source to the device. Configure wireless settings and network interfaces through the MikroTik RouterOS interface or Winbox. Connect client devices to the wireless network or use Ethernet ports for wired devices; ports 2–5 can also power downstream PoE devices if the unit receives appropriate input voltage.

Usage recommendations

For reliable long-term outdoor operation, install the unit with adequate clearance from large obstructions, use high-quality outdoor Ethernet cabling, and ensure the input voltage matches the required PoE mode when powering other devices from the Ethernet ports.
