Temperature sensor Milesight EM500-PT100
The Milesight EM500-PT100 is an industrial-grade temperature sensor designed for stable and precise measurement across a wide temperature span. Built with platinum sensing material, the sensor accurately measures temperatures from -200 °C to 800 °C. The device integrates LoRaWAN® wireless communication for long-range, low-power data transmission and is compatible with Milesight IoT Cloud for visualization, alerts and device management. It is housed in an IP67-rated enclosure and can be mounted on walls, poles or DIN rails. The sensor is powered by a long-life 19000 mAh Lithium Thionyl Chloride battery and has compact dimensions of 105.4 mm x 71 mm x 69.5 mm.
The sensor uses a platinum sensing element for exceptional temperature resistance and measurement stability across extreme ranges. An IP67 rating provides water and dust protection while UV and vibration resistance support reliable operation in outdoor and industrial environments. LoRaWAN® connectivity ensures secure long-range transmission with low power consumption, enabling up to 10 years of battery life with typical 10-minute reporting intervals. Integration with Milesight IoT Cloud enables data visualization, automated triggers, scheduled reports and mobile management via Android and iOS apps. Configuration and on/off control are available via NFC from a phone or PC.
Mount the sensor in the desired location using wall, pole or DIN rail mounting options. Power is provided by the built-in battery; enable the device and configure parameters via NFC from a smartphone or PC. Register the sensor on a LoRaWAN® network and connect it to Milesight IoT Cloud to view real-time data, set automated triggers and receive alerts. Select an appropriate reporting interval (for example, 10 minutes) to balance update frequency and battery life.
Install the sensor where the sensing element has direct thermal contact with the measured medium or surface, avoid placing it near strong electromagnetic interference sources, and choose a reporting interval that matches monitoring needs to optimize battery life.
