Gas detector Milesight GS101-915M — Methane sensor, wired, 12 V DC, 85 dB alarm, 120×85×32.5 mm
Milesight GS101-915M is a wired methane gas detector designed to provide continuous indoor monitoring of combustible gas presence. The device operates from a 12 V DC supply with up to 1 A current draw and is housed in a white enclosure measuring 120×85×32.5 mm. On detecting methane concentrations that reach preset thresholds, GS101-915M triggers an 85 dB audible alarm and an LED light alarm and can activate control outputs to close gas valves or start ventilation fans. The detector is intended to support reliable, local detection and response in residential, commercial or utility spaces that require methane leak monitoring.
The detector offers continuous, wired methane detection with immediate local alerting via an 85 dB buzzer and LED indicator. Its control outputs enable integration with mechanical safety measures such as gas shut-off valves and ventilation fans. The compact white housing and 12 V DC operation allow straightforward installation in typical indoor environments. The device also reports normal status and alarm messages remotely when used with compatible LoRaWAN infrastructure and cloud services.
Install the detector in an appropriate indoor location where methane accumulation is most likely to occur, following local safety codes and manufacturer mounting recommendations. Connect the device to a 12 V DC power source capable of supplying up to 1 A and wire the control outputs to the gas valve or ventilation fan circuits if automatic mitigation is required. Configure the alarm threshold and test the audible and LED alarms after installation. When integrated with a compatible LoRaWAN gateway and cloud platform, enable remote reporting to receive status and alarm notifications off-site.
Place the detector at a height and position suitable for methane detection according to local regulations and the known behavior of natural gas in the monitored space; perform regular functional tests and maintenance, and ensure wired connections and control output wiring are installed by a qualified technician.
