Chisel SDS-Plus wide 250 x 40 mm MILWAUKEE 4932367146
The MILWAUKEE Chisel SDS-Plus wide 250 x 40 mm is a purpose-built masonry chisel designed for use with SDS-Plus rotary hammers. Constructed from heavy-duty steel and shaped for effective impact transfer, this wide chisel is intended to remove tiles, mortar, plaster and for light demolition work on concrete and masonry surfaces. The 250 mm length provides reach and leverage while the 40 mm blade width covers a broad area for faster material removal.
The chisel features a robust SDS-Plus shank for secure engagement with compatible rotary hammers and reliable energy transfer from the tool to the work surface. Its wide 40 mm blade reduces the number of passes needed when removing tiles or chasing out mortar joints. Heavy-duty steel construction increases resistance to deformation under repeated impact and supports consistent performance during prolonged use.
This wide SDS-Plus chisel is intended for light to medium demolition and material removal. It is not suitable for precision stone carving or fine finishing work that requires narrow or shaped tips. For heavy industrial demolition, hydraulic breakers or larger specialist chisels are more appropriate.
Insert the SDS-Plus shank into the rotary hammer’s tool holder according to the tool manufacturer’s instructions until it locks securely. Select the hammer or chisel mode as required and position the blade against the work surface at a controlled angle. Apply steady pressure and allow the tool’s impact energy to drive the chisel; avoid excessive lateral bending. Periodically inspect the chisel for wear or deformation and replace it if the cutting edge becomes significantly rounded or damaged.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, hearing protection and gloves. Match the chisel to the correct hammer mode and keep the tool alignment straight to extend chisel life and improve efficiency.
