Drill Hole Saw Milwaukee 49560023 Cutting Depth 4.1 cm Diameter 1.9 cm
The MILWAUKEE 49560023 drill hole saw is a bi-metal holesaw with a cutting depth of 41 mm and a diameter of 19 mm designed for accurate, durable hole cutting in a wide range of materials. Its 1.27 mm thick steel body provides rigidity with controlled elasticity while diagonal slots assist core ejection. The back plate is made from thick steel with four drive-pin holes to ensure a round, stable fit and minimal enlargement of holes over time.
The holesaw uses Matrix II premium high-speed steel teeth with 8% cobalt for retained hardness at high temperatures, laser-welded to a high-alloy steel body and vacuum hardened to 65 HRC for improved durability. A variable 4–6 TPI tooth geometry and a positive 10° tooth angle yield faster, more aggressive cutting, better heat dispersion, deeper curved gullets for chip clearance, reduced tendency to snag on thin materials, and lower feed pressure requirements. Alternate/side-set teeth minimise binding and friction.
Fit the holesaw onto a compatible arbor with the drive pins aligned in the back plate holes. Use in hand drills or pillar drills with manual feed only. Start drilling at low speed to establish the cut, then apply steady feed pressure — heavy force is not required due to the aggressive tooth geometry and efficient chip clearance. Periodically retract to clear chips and allow cooling when cutting metals. After cutting, remove the core via the diagonal slots or by tapping out from the back plate.
For best results when cutting metals, use cutting fluid to reduce heat and extend tooth life. Observe appropriate speeds for the material being cut and avoid excessive lateral forces. This holesaw is suitable for demanding metalwork as well as general-purpose cutting in wood and plastics.
