Sensor unit Mobotix MX-O-SMA-S-6D016 security camera
The Mobotix MX-O-SMA-S-6D016 sensor unit is a universal sensor module designed for use with DualFlex and AllroundDual housings. It integrates a lens, a 6 MP image sensor (3072 x 2048 pixels) and a microphone into a preassembled module for ceiling or wall mounting. The module connects to the housing via a quick connector and is rated IP66 for protection against dust and heavy jets of water. The visible external part is available in white or black to blend with most indoor and outdoor installations.
This sensor unit offers high-resolution 6 MP imaging with a wide 180° horizontal field of view, enabling detailed coverage with a single module. Its preassembled design simplifies installation for ceiling or wall mounting, while the quick connector ensures fast and reliable connection to compatible housings. Built-in microphone and integrated lens reduce the need for additional accessories. IP66 rating makes it suitable for outdoor use in challenging environments.
Mount the preassembled sensor unit into the compatible DualFlex or AllroundDual housing on a ceiling or wall following the housing manufacturer’s instructions. Connect the unit to the housing using the quick connector to establish power and data connections. Complete any required wiring for the wired network connection and configure the camera settings via the associated MOBOTIX system or software. Ensure the integrated microphone and lens orientation provide the desired coverage before finalising the installation.
For best results, select the visible colour (white or black) to match the installation environment, verify IP66-rated seals after mounting for reliable outdoor protection, and perform initial image and audio tests to confirm correct alignment and connectivity.
