Modeco MN-20-189 Ferrule Crimping Pliers 0.5-16mm2 220mm CrMo Steel
The Modeco MN-20-189 ferrule crimping pliers are a professional-grade hand tool engineered for the precise termination of wire end sleeves. With a capacity covering a range from 0.5mm² to 16mm², these pliers are essential for creating secure, low-resistance electrical connections in various wiring projects. The tool is built to withstand the rigors of daily professional use while maintaining consistent performance.
Constructed from high-quality Chrome-Molybdenum (CrMo) steel, these pliers offer exceptional durability and resistance to mechanical wear. The ergonomic TPR handles provide a comfortable and secure grip, reducing hand fatigue during repetitive crimping tasks. The 220mm length provides sufficient leverage to ensure that each ferrule is compressed firmly and uniformly, meeting the requirements for reliable electrical installations.
These pliers are specifically designed for wire end ferrules and are not suitable for crimping non-insulated terminals, coaxial connectors, or cutting heavy-duty cables. They should not be used on live electrical circuits.
To use the tool, first strip the insulation from the end of the wire to the appropriate length. Insert the wire into the ferrule, ensuring the conductor strands are fully contained. Place the ferrule into the corresponding die slot on the crimping pliers. Squeeze the handles firmly until the internal mechanism completes the crimping cycle and releases. Inspect the connection to ensure the ferrule is securely attached to the wire.
Always ensure the wire is properly stripped and fully inserted into the ferrule before crimping to prevent loose connections. Keep the tool clean and store it in a dry environment to maintain the integrity of the steel jaws.
