Bench Vise MODECO MN-35-205 125 mm swivel jaw, workshop clamping tool
MODECO MN-35-205 bench vise with 125 mm swivel jaws is a workshop clamping tool designed for secure holding of workpieces during metalworking and general workshop tasks. The vise combines a rotating base for flexible positioning, hardened serrated jaws for improved grip, and a threaded screw mechanism to adjust clamping force. It is intended for use with metal, wood and plastic parts for operations such as filing, drilling, cutting and assembly.
The swivel base allows 360° positioning for easier access to the workpiece without repositioning the object itself. Hardened serrated jaws provide firm grip and wear resistance, while the 125 mm jaw width accommodates a wide range of component sizes. A durable screw mechanism delivers controlled clamping pressure and straightforward adjustment. The vise is engineered for workshop durability and stable mounting on benchtops.
Secure the vise to a stable workbench using appropriate mounting bolts through the base holes. Rotate the swivel base to the desired orientation and tighten the base lock if provided. Open the jaws by turning the handle counterclockwise, insert the workpiece between the jaws, then tighten by turning the handle clockwise until the workpiece is held firmly. Ensure that the clamping force is sufficient to prevent movement but not excessive to avoid damaging softer materials.
Inspect the jaws and screw mechanism regularly for wear or debris. Use soft jaw covers or protective pads when clamping delicate materials to prevent surface damage. Apply a light machine oil to the screw thread periodically to maintain smooth operation and prevent corrosion. Do not exceed the vise’s intended capacity or use as a replacement for specialized presses or heavy forging equipment.
