Clamping Bar / Carpenter's Bar MODECO STRONG MN-37-270 120×1000 mm
MODECO STRONG clamping bar MN-37-270 is a manual carpenter's bar sized 120×1000 mm, designed to hold, align and press workpieces during woodworking and assembly tasks. The tool combines a long 1000 mm bar with a 120 mm throat capacity to secure boards, frames or panels while gluing, cutting and joining. Fixed and adjustable clamping elements on the model provide controlled pressure distribution across the clamped surface, helping to maintain even contact and alignment.
The clamping bar offers a rigid steel bar construction for stability during use and model-specific fixed and movable clamping heads that allow quick positioning and reliable retention of workpieces. Its 120 mm throat depth accommodates a range of material sizes while the full-length 1000 mm span supports longer assemblies. The manual screw or lever mechanism provides gradual pressure application suitable for delicate glue joints as well as firmer holds for cutting and fitting.
Place the workpieces between the fixed and adjustable clamping heads and slide the movable unit to approximate position along the 1000 mm bar. Fine-tune alignment and spacing, then actuate the manual mechanism to apply even pressure across the joint or surface. For glue-ups, apply adhesive to mating surfaces before final clamping and check alignment as pressure is increased. Release the clamp after the adhesive has set or when the operation is complete, loosening the screw/lever and sliding the movable head away to remove the workpiece.
Use protective pads or scrap wood between the clamping heads and finished surfaces to prevent marring. For consistent results with glued assemblies, apply gradual and uniform pressure and allow sufficient curing time before removing the clamp. Store the bar horizontally in a dry place to avoid bending and protect metal parts from corrosion.
