Rivet Nut Tool MODECO MN-40-110 — for M3–M6 blind rivet nuts, hand manual kit
MODECO MN-40-110 manual rivet nut tool is a hand-operated kit designed to install M3–M6 blind rivet nuts into thin sheet materials. The tool provides a practical method for creating strong internal threads where conventional tapping is impractical or impossible. It is suitable for on-site repairs and workshop use, enabling reliable fastening of panels, brackets, enclosures and assemblies that require M3, M4, M5 and M6 threaded inserts.
The tool offers a compact, manually operated mechanism that requires no external power source and reduces setup complexity. It accepts a range of mandrels and nosepieces matched to M3–M6 rivet nuts, delivering consistent compression and secure installation. Its design focuses on ease of handling and durability for repeated use on metal, thin alloy and some composite panels.
Select the mandrel and nosepiece appropriate for the rivet nut size to be installed. Prepare the workpiece by drilling a hole to the rivet nut manufacturer’s recommended diameter, then insert the rivet nut into the hole. Mount the chosen mandrel into the tool and thread the rivet nut onto the mandrel. Position the tool so the rivet nut sits flush with the workpiece surface, then operate the handles to deform the rivet nut body and form a secure joint. After installation, unthread the mandrel to release the tool from the installed insert. Follow rivet nut vendor specifications for hole size and grip range.
Use correct hole sizes and rivet nut grip range for reliable results; inspect mandrels and nosepieces for wear and replace them when threads or seating surfaces show damage. Wear appropriate eye protection when working with metal chips and use clamps or fixtures to stabilize small workpieces during installation.
