Rivet nuts MODECO MN-41-740 — aluminium 4/12.7 mm, 50 pcs
MODECO MN-41-740 rivet nuts are aluminium blind threaded inserts with a nominal thread size of 4 and a flange/outer diameter of 12.7 mm, supplied in a pack of 50. They are designed to form strong, durable internal threads in thin sheet metal, plastic panels or other substrates where conventional tapping is impractical. Installation from one side makes these rivet nuts suitable for repair jobs, assembly tasks and retrofits where access to the opposite side is restricted.
These aluminium rivet nuts provide corrosion-resistant, lightweight threaded anchors that distribute load through their flange and deformed body. Their blind installation capability enables fixing in confined spaces and on hollow structures without access to the backside. Supplied in a quantity of 50, the set supports multiple assemblies or spare stock for regular maintenance operations.
Drill a hole in the workpiece sized to the rivet nut's outer diameter, insert the rivet nut into the prepared hole, then use an appropriate rivet nut tool or rivet gun with the correct mandrel to compress the body until the insert is securely flared and clamped to the material. After installation, fasten the mating bolt or screw into the internal thread to attach the component. Ensure hole edges are clean and the substrate thickness is compatible with the rivet nut's grip range before installation.
For reliable results, select a mandrel and setting tool matched to 4-size aluminium rivet nuts and verify the workpiece hole diameter corresponds to the insert outer diameter. Avoid over-torquing bolts in aluminium inserts; use recommended torque values for M4 threads in thin materials and, when installing in corrosive environments, consider additional protective coatings or using compatible fastener materials.
