Chisel (SDS+) MODECO MN-61-093 250 mm pointed tip
Pointed chisel for SDS+ rotary hammers by MODECO, 250 mm length. The MODECO chisel MN-61-093 with a pointed tip is designed for focused impact and penetration in masonry, concrete and natural stone when used with tools that accept SDS+ bits. Its tapered, hardened tip concentrates energy into a small area to initiate cracking, create starter holes and facilitate removal of stubborn material during demolition or detail chipping work.
The chisel is manufactured from heat-treated steel for increased tip life and resistance to deformation under repeated impact. Its SDS+ shank ensures rapid, secure tool changes and stable coupling in compatible rotary hammers. The 250 mm overall length provides a balance between reach and control, allowing effective force transfer while maintaining maneuverability on small and medium jobs.
Insert the chisel into an SDS+ rotary hammer according to the tool manufacturer's instructions, ensuring the shank is fully seated and the locking mechanism engages. Position the pointed tip at the target area and apply steady, controlled strokes using appropriate hammer settings for the material. For controlled material removal, use intermittent impacts and adjust angle and pressure to guide crack propagation. Allow the tool to do the work; avoid levering on the chisel to prevent bending or premature wear.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, hearing protection and gloves. Select hammer settings suitable for the substrate; higher impact energy accelerates penetration but can increase tip wear. Inspect the chisel regularly for tip blunting or shaft damage and replace if deformation or excessive wear is observed. Store in a dry place to prevent corrosion.
