Drill Bit MODECO SDS+ 8 mm MN-61-132 for Concrete
Drill Bit MODECO SDS+ 8 mm MN-61-132 for Concrete
MODECO SDS+ drill bit 8 mm (MN-61-132) is designed for drilling holes in concrete and masonry with SDS+ rotary hammer drills. The single-diameter 8 mm bit delivers consistent hole size for anchors, dowels and pass-through fixings. Constructed to withstand impact drilling, it is suitable for professional trade work as well as home renovation projects where reliable concrete penetration and repeatable results are required.
The MODECO SDS+ 8 mm bit provides stable drilling performance and consistent hole diameter, reducing the need for rework. Its SDS+ shank design ensures quick, secure mounting and efficient power transfer from the rotary hammer. The bit’s carbide tip improves wear resistance and penetration into hard materials, while the single-diameter profile helps achieve uniform anchor and dowel fit.
Insert the SDS+ shank into the chuck of a compatible rotary hammer until it locks. Select the rotary hammer’s hammer drilling mode and position the bit perpendicular to the intended drilling surface. Apply steady pressure and allow the tool’s impact action to advance the bit; avoid excessive axial force which can blunt the carbide tip. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear debris and reduce overheating. For through-holes, maintain alignment to preserve the 8 mm diameter.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection and dust mask. Match drill speed and hammer setting to the material hardness; for reinforced concrete, consider a slower feed and controlled pressure. Replace the bit when wear or tip damage reduces drilling efficiency or hole accuracy.
