Drill bit MODECO SDS+ 10 mm for concrete, model MN-61-144
MODECO SDS+ 10 mm drill bit for concrete (model MN-61-144) is designed for use with SDS+ rotary hammer drills to create precise 10 mm holes in concrete and masonry. The tool features an SDS+ shank for firm retention in compatible chucks and a carbide-tipped head engineered to withstand impact drilling. It is intended for common construction and renovation tasks such as drilling anchor holes, installing anchors and dowels, and any application requiring a clean 10 mm bore in solid substrates.
The SDS+ shank ensures stable engagement with the drill, reducing slippage and improving transfer of hammer energy to the cutting head. A hardened carbide tip improves wear resistance and sustains cutting performance when drilling dense concrete and brick. The straight flute profile supports efficient removal of dust and debris from the hole, contributing to consistent drilling speed and more accurate hole diameter over repeated use.
Install the drill bit into an SDS+ compatible rotary hammer chuck until it locks into place. Select the rotary hammer mode with hammering action enabled, and position the tip at the marked drilling point. Start drilling with light axial pressure to ensure the tip seats correctly, then apply steady pressure while allowing the tool to supply the impact energy. Withdraw periodically to clear debris from the hole for improved efficiency and accuracy. After drilling, clean the hole of dust before inserting anchors or plugs.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, hearing protection and dust mask when drilling. Match the drill and mode to the substrate hardness and avoid excessive lateral force to prevent bit breakage. For longer service life, remove debris frequently and avoid overheating by pausing if the bit becomes very hot.
