Concrete SDS+ Drill Bit MODECO 10 mm MN-61-147
Concrete SDS+ Drill Bit MODECO 10 mm MN-61-147 is a 10 mm diameter carbide-tipped masonry bit designed for use with SDS+ rotary hammer drills. It is intended for drilling into concrete, reinforced concrete, natural stone and various masonry materials. The bit's construction supports steady drilling, accurate hole placement and reliable performance for anchor installation, dowel fixing and through-holes in construction and renovation tasks.
The carbide tip and reinforced steel shank deliver wear resistance and extended service life when drilling abrasive masonry materials. The SDS+ connection ensures secure fit and efficient impact energy transfer from a compatible rotary hammer, reducing slippage and improving drilling speed. The 10 mm diameter provides a balance between rigidity and material removal rate, producing clean, straight holes suitable for standard anchors and dowels.
Select an SDS+ rotary hammer drill compatible with 10 mm bits and set the tool to hammer-drill mode appropriate for masonry. Mark the drilling point and, if necessary, start with a slight pilot action to stabilize the bit. Apply steady axial pressure without forcing the drill; allow the hammer action and carbide tip to remove material. Clear dust from the hole periodically to maintain drilling efficiency and prevent bit overheating. After reaching required depth, retract the bit while the drill is running slowly to remove debris.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye protection, gloves and hearing protection. For reinforced concrete, use intermittent drilling and check for rebar with a detector before drilling. To extend bit life, avoid excessive lateral force and maintain correct rotation and hammer settings on the rotary hammer.
