Drill Bit MODECO SDS+ 10 mm, concrete, model MN-61-148
Drill Bit MODECO SDS+ 10 mm, concrete, model MN-61-148
Drill Bit MODECO SDS+ 10 mm is a purpose-built percussion drill bit designed for drilling precise 10 mm holes in concrete and masonry. Compatible with SDS+ rotary hammer systems, this MODECO bit provides focused impact energy transfer for reliable penetration in reinforced and non-reinforced concrete, brick and similar stone materials. It is intended for tasks such as fixing anchors, installing dowels and routing small-diameter services where a clean, accurately sized hole is needed.
The SDS+ shank ensures quick and secure connection to compatible rotary hammers, reducing bit slip during operation. The 10 mm diameter offers a standard size for common anchors and fasteners, while the optimized flute design removes dust efficiently to maintain drilling speed and extend bit life. Manufactured for concrete and masonry, the bit balances drilling speed and durability for routine construction and repair work.
Install the bit into an SDS+ compatible rotary hammer according to the tool manufacturer's instructions until it locks in place. Select the hammer-percussion mode for concrete and masonry. Start drilling at low speed to establish the pilot position, then apply steady pressure without forcing the tool. Withdraw the bit periodically to clear debris and let the bit cool if drilling multiple holes. After reaching the required depth, retract the bit while the tool is running briefly to remove dust from the hole.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, hearing protection and dust mask. Match drill diameter to the anchor or dowel specification and ensure the rotary hammer is rated for SDS+ bits. For reinforced concrete, use controlled pressure and consider a slightly slower feed to avoid premature wear.
