Drill Bit MODECO SDS+ 5 mm for Concrete MN-61-903
Drill Bit MODECO SDS+ 5 mm for Concrete MN-61-903
Drill Bit MODECO SDS+ 5 mm for Concrete MN-61-903 is a solid carbide-tipped masonry drill designed for use with SDS+ rotary hammers. The 5 mm diameter and fluted body are intended to create clean holes in concrete, brick and natural stone while promoting efficient dust and chip evacuation. The SDS+ shank secures the bit in the hammer chuck for high-impact drilling and stable rotation at construction and installation tasks.
The carbide tip provides high hardness and wear resistance for repetitive drilling in abrasive substrates. The fluted geometry accelerates removal of concrete dust and debris, reducing friction and heat buildup. The SDS+ shank ensures reliable tool engagement and quick bit changes without additional adapters. The 5 mm diameter offers compatibility with common anchors, dowels and small conduit fittings used in electrical and fastening work.
Install the bit into an SDS+ compatible rotary hammer until it locks in place. Select hammer or rotary-hammer mode appropriate to the material and apply steady axial pressure while maintaining correct alignment. Start drilling at low speed to position the hole, then increase power as the bit advances. Withdraw periodically to clear accumulated dust from the hole and allow the bit to cool. Use personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, dust mask and hearing protection when operating power tools.
For longest life, match drilling speed and hammer impact settings to the material hardness and avoid excessive side load. For installing anchors, verify hole diameter and depth against anchor manufacturer specifications; clean the hole of dust before insertion. Replace the bit when wear or rounding of the carbide tip reduces drilling performance.
