Concrete drill bit MODECO SDS+ 10 mm, model MN-61-913
MODECO SDS+ concrete drill bit 10 mm (model MN-61-913) is designed for drilling accurate holes in concrete, masonry and other mineral materials using SDS+ rotary hammers. The bit features a carbide tip for enhanced wear resistance and a spiral flute geometry that evacuates dust efficiently, enabling stable, straight drilling when installing anchor bolts, dowels or creating through-holes. Compatibility with SDS+ chucks makes it suitable for a wide range of hammer drills used in construction and renovation work.
The carbide-tipped cutting head provides prolonged cutting life and maintains drilling precision in abrasive mineral substrates. The SDS+ shank design ensures fast and secure insertion into the chuck and reliable power transfer from the rotary hammer. Spiral flutes optimize chip removal and reduce jamming, while the 10 mm diameter gives consistent hole sizing for common fixings and anchors.
Select an SDS+ rotary hammer with appropriate power and insert the drill bit fully into the chuck until it locks. Mark and position the drill at the required point and start drilling at low speed to create a guide. Apply steady pressure and allow the hammer action to do the work; avoid excessive axial force to prevent premature wear. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear dust and improve cooling. When the hole is complete, retract the bit and inspect the hole for correct depth and cleanliness before installing anchors or fixings.
Use personal protective equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection and dust mask) when drilling mineral materials. For longer service life, avoid overheating by drilling in short intervals and clear debris frequently. Choose an SDS+ rotary hammer with suitable impact energy for dense concrete and match the 10 mm drill to anchor or dowel specifications.
