Drill Bit MODECO SDS+ 10 mm, model MN-61-915
MODECO SDS+ 10 mm drill bit model MN-61-915 is a straight-shank carbide-tipped masonry bit designed for use with SDS+ rotary hammers and drills. It is intended for drilling clean 10 mm holes in concrete, brick, block and natural stone where anchors, dowels or service passages are required. The SDS+ shank ensures quick, secure bit changes and efficient transmission of impact energy for consistent drilling performance.
The SDS+ 10 mm bit combines a robust carbide tip with a flute geometry optimised for fast dust removal and stable drilling in hard materials. The SDS+ connection provides low play and reliable coupling to compatible rotary hammers, reducing bit wobble and improving hole accuracy. Its 10 mm diameter is a common size for anchors and dowels, making the bit suitable for both professional trades and DIY projects where repeatable, precise holes are needed.
Select a compatible SDS+ rotary hammer or drill with the appropriate power and mode for masonry drilling. Install the bit into the tool’s chuck until it locks securely. Mark the drilling position and, if necessary, use a center punch to prevent bit walking. Start drilling at low speed to establish the hole, then apply steady pressure and use the hammering action of the tool for effective penetration. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear dust from the hole and allow the bit to cool. Finish drilling to the required depth and remove the bit by pulling it from the chuck.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye and hearing protection and a dust mask when drilling into concrete or masonry. For prolonged drilling or large numbers of holes, allow intermittent breaks to prevent overheating of the bit and use compressed-air or vacuum extraction to remove dust for cleaner, more accurate holes.
