How to use

Secure the die in a compatible die stock or holder and position it square to the workpiece. Apply a suitable cutting lubricant to the rod or bolt to reduce friction and improve chip evacuation. Start the die onto the end of the workpiece, advance with steady forward pressure and turn the die stock one full revolution and then reverse a partial turn periodically to break chips.
