Utility Knife MODECO MN-63-020 with 18 mm Replaceable Snap-Off Blade and Steel Guide
MODECO MN-63-020 is a utility knife with an 18 mm replaceable snap-off blade and an integrated steel guide designed to provide precise, repeatable cuts in cardboard, paper, carpet, vinyl and similar sheet materials. The metal guiding rail keeps the blade aligned during cutting operations, while the snap-off blade system allows fast renewal of the cutting edge without tools. The knife is intended for workshops, construction sites, packing lines and general-purpose tasks that require controlled linear cutting.
The 18 mm snap-off blade offers multiple fresh cutting segments for extended blade life and quick restoration of sharpness. The steel guide maintains a consistent cutting line and improves stability when slicing through thicker materials. Tool-free blade changes reduce downtime and make maintenance straightforward. The compact handle provides a secure grip for controlled cuts and reliable handling in repetitive tasks.
Extend the blade to the required length by sliding the blade holder, perform the cut along the material while maintaining steady pressure and alignment with the steel guide, and retract the blade after use. When the tip becomes dull, snap off the used segment along the blade’s scored line to expose a fresh edge, or replace the blade by opening the holder according to the knife’s mechanism and inserting a new 18 mm snap-off blade. Always ensure the blade is locked securely before cutting.
Wear appropriate hand protection and cut on a stable surface. For thicker or denser materials, use multiple light passes rather than excessive force to reduce blade wear and improve cut accuracy. Store the knife with the blade retracted and keep replacement blades in original packaging to prevent injury.
