Utility Knife MODECO MN-63-022 with 18mm Snap-Off Blade and Fixing Screw
Handheld utility knife MODECO MN-63-022 with an 18mm snap-off replaceable blade and a fixing screw provides a practical cutting solution for workshop, office and home tasks. The knife is designed to cut paper, cardboard, thin plastics, carpet and similar materials. The segmented blade enables quick restoration of a sharp edge by snapping off dulled segments, while the fixing screw secures the blade in position for stable, safe operation.
The knife combines a standard 18mm snap-off blade with a screw locking mechanism to reduce blade movement and improve cutting precision. Its replaceable segmented blade minimises downtime: when the tip becomes dull you simply snap off a segment to expose a fresh edge. The compact handheld design supports controlled one-handed use and makes storage and transport convenient. Materials and construction focus on durability and reliable blade retention during repetitive cutting tasks.
Insert a compatible 18 mm segmented blade into the blade channel and tighten the fixing screw to secure the blade. Adjust the blade extension as required for the material thickness, using short controlled strokes for straight cuts and light, repeated passes for thicker or tougher materials. When the cutting edge becomes dull, loosen the screw, extend the blade to a safe snapping position, snap off the dulled segment along the scored line, then re-tighten the screw before resuming work. Replace the blade entirely when all segments are used or if the blade is damaged.
Use a firm, stable surface and keep fingers clear of the cutting line. Wear cut-resistant gloves if required for prolonged or heavy-duty tasks. Store spare blades and the utility knife in a safe place and dispose of snapped or used blade segments in a suitable blade disposal container.
