Sanding discs MODECO 125 mm grit 60 pack of 5 (MN-68-479/5)
MODECO sanding discs, 125 mm diameter with 60-grit abrasive, supplied in a pack of five. Designed for use with orbital and rotary sanders that accept 125 mm backing pads, these coarse discs are intended for rapid material removal, shaping, and preparing surfaces. They are suitable for working on wood, metal, and painted surfaces where efficient stock removal and surface leveling are required.
The coarse 60-grit abrasive delivers fast cutting action for quick removal of paint, rust, old finishes and uneven material. The uniform abrasive coating ensures consistent performance across the disc surface, while the 125 mm size fits common small-to-medium sanders for accessible handling. Supplied as a five-piece pack, the set provides replacements for extended workshop use and small renovation projects.
Attach the disc to a compatible 125 mm backing pad on an orbital or rotary sander following the tool manufacturer's mounting instructions. Use moderate pressure and move the sander steadily over the surface to achieve even material removal; avoid excessive pressure that can cause uneven wear or heat build-up. Replace discs when the abrasive performance diminishes or the backing shows damage. Always ensure the workpiece is secured before sanding.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as dust mask, safety glasses and hearing protection. Select a sanding speed recommended for the sander and the material being worked on; for metal or heavily painted surfaces, consider using lower speeds to reduce heat. For finer finishing, progress to higher grit discs after initial material removal.
