Flap Disc MODECO MN-68-825 125 mm, grit 120, convex, pack of 10
Flap Disc MODECO MN-68-825 125 mm, grit 120, convex, pack of 10 is a 125 mm convex abrasive flap disc designed for controlled surface grinding, blending and finishing on metal and other materials. The layered abrasive flaps maintain consistent contact with the workpiece to deliver even material removal and a uniform finish. Supplied in a pack of ten, the disc is intended for use on standard angle grinders where a medium-fine 120 grit is required for smoothing welds, removing oxidation, deburring edges and preparing surfaces for further treatment.
The convex design improves access to curved surfaces and contours while reducing the risk of gouging flat areas. Layered abrasive flaps wear progressively to expose fresh abrasive, extending usable life and ensuring even stock removal. The 120 grit provides a balance between removal rate and surface quality, suitable for blending and light stock removal without aggressive scratch patterns. Packaged as a set of ten discs, it supports repeatable workflow and reduces downtime for frequent wheel changes.
Mount the flap disc securely on an angle grinder according to the grinder manufacturer's instructions and verify the disc is compatible with the machine's speed rating. Hold the grinder with a steady, controlled pressure and move the disc across the workpiece at a shallow angle for blending, or a slightly steeper angle for faster stock removal. Allow the layered flaps to work with the material rather than forcing the tool; maintain steady motion to avoid overheating and to achieve an even finish. Replace the disc when abrasive performance decreases or the backing becomes compromised.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, gloves and hearing protection. For best results on stainless steel, use light, consistent passes and avoid prolonged dwell in one area to prevent heat discoloration. Store discs in a dry environment and inspect each disc before use for damage or contamination.
