Tape Measure MODECO BASIC MN-81-015 — 500 cm length, 1.9 cm blade width
MODECO BASIC MN-81-015 is a retractable tape measure offering a 500 cm measuring range and a 1.9 cm blade width. The tool is intended for general measuring tasks in construction, woodworking and home DIY projects. The compact housing and clear metric graduations make it suitable for on-site dimension checks, furniture fitting and layout work where reliable linear measurement up to five metres is required.
The tape measure combines a long measuring length with a slim blade profile for access to narrow spaces. Its retractable mechanism enables quick blade extension and smooth retraction into a compact case for storage. Metric graduations are printed clearly along the blade to support precise readings. The small housing reduces bulk in a tool pouch or pocket while remaining stable during one-handed measuring operations.
Pull the blade smoothly from the housing to the required length, align the zero mark at the starting point and read the measurement from the nearest graduation on the blade. Use one hand to hold the housing and the other to tension the blade when measuring longer spans to reduce sag. After measuring, press the release or engage the retraction mechanism to wind the blade back into the case, keeping fingers clear of the blade edge during retraction.
Store the tape measure in a dry place and avoid exposing the blade to corrosive substances. For best accuracy, keep the blade free of bends or kinks and avoid dropping the tool. When measuring long distances, support the blade at intermediate points if possible to reduce deflection and improve reading accuracy.
