Caliper MODECO MN-85-001 stainless steel 150 mm — precision measuring tool
MODECO MN-85-001 stainless steel caliper with a 150 mm measuring range is an analog precision measuring tool designed for basic workshop, DIY and light industrial use. The caliper performs external, internal and depth measurements using a vernier scale, offering a compact, manual solution for dimensional control. Its stainless steel construction enhances durability and resistance to corrosion for routine measurement tasks.
The stainless steel body provides mechanical strength and corrosion resistance suitable for frequent handling and workshop environments. The 150 mm range covers most common small to medium measurement tasks while the vernier scale allows readings without batteries or electronics. Compact size and manual operation make the caliper portable and easy to integrate into tool kits and benches.
Open the jaws and place the object between the external measuring faces for outside dimensions, or use the internal jaws for holes and recesses. For depth measurements, extend the depth rod into the feature until the base of the caliper rests on the reference surface. Slide the movable jaw until it contacts the part gently but firmly, then read the value from the vernier scale aligned with the main scale. Ensure the measuring faces are clean and the caliper is held perpendicular to the measured surface for accurate results.
Store the caliper in a dry place and clean measuring faces after each use; avoid impacts or dropping to preserve calibration and accuracy. For higher repeatability, allow the caliper and measured parts to reach the same ambient temperature before measuring. Periodically check zero alignment of the jaws and recalibrate with appropriate standards if required.
