Cable Moondrop Free DSP USB-C to 2-pin headset cable by Moondrop
Moondrop Free DSP USB-C to 2-pin headset cable by Moondrop is a wired digital audio cable that connects compatible 2-pin earphones directly to devices with USB-C ports. The cable integrates Moondrop's Free DSP audio interface to enable on-cable digital-to-analog handling and audio processing when used with supported devices. It is intended for use with smartphones, tablets, laptops and portable players that lack a dedicated headphone jack but feature USB-C audio output.
The cable offers a direct USB-C digital connection that preserves a clean signal path and reduces reliance on device analog outputs. Integration of the Free DSP interface provides on-cable audio processing and format handling where supported, enabling consistent performance across devices. Its 2-pin connector maintains compatibility with a wide range of replaceable IEMs and earphones designed for detachable cables, while the USB-C termination simplifies connection to modern mobile devices and computers.
Attach the 2-pin connector to compatible earphones, ensuring correct orientation and secure seating. Insert the USB-C plug into the host device's USB-C port. If the host device recognizes external USB-C audio, audio will be routed through the cable and processed by the Free DSP interface where supported. Adjust device volume and any available audio settings on the host to achieve the desired output level. Disconnect by removing the USB-C plug and then detaching the 2-pin connector from the earphones.
Use the cable with devices that support USB-C audio output and, where possible, with players or systems that are compatible with the Free DSP interface to access on-cable processing features. Avoid excessive bending at connector ends and store the cable loosely coiled to preserve connector integrity. If no audio is detected, check host USB audio settings and confirm earphone compatibility with a 2-pin detachable cable.
