Hunting knife Mora Morakniv Eldris Drop point Blade length 5.9 cm
The Morakniv Eldris is a compact hunting knife with a 59 mm drop point blade and a 2.0 mm-thick profile-ground edge made from recycled Swedish stainless steel. With an overall length of 153 mm and a barrel-shaped ergonomic polymer handle featuring a soft friction grip and finger guard, the Eldris is designed for controlled, stable cutting in outdoor settings. The symmetrical polymer sheath allows both right- and left-handed carry. Optional accessories include the Morakniv Fire Kit for Eldris and a compatible belt loop for Eldris, Garberg, or Kansbol.
The Eldris combines a short, robust blade and a secure ergonomic grip to offer precise control and reliable strength for small to medium cutting tasks. The recycled stainless steel blade provides durability and corrosion resistance while the symmetrical sheath increases versatility by accommodating right- and left-handed users. The compact size makes it easy to carry in a pocket or backpack.
Hold the Eldris by the barrel-shaped handle for a secure grip and position the blade tip according to the task: use the drop point for controlled slicing and detail work. For skinning or dressing, make shallow, precise cuts and let the blade do the work rather than forcing it. Store the knife in its sheath when not in use and ensure the blade is clean and dry before sheathing to reduce corrosion risk.
Keep the blade sharp for safe, efficient cutting; maintain a cutting angle appropriate to the task (typically 20–25° for stainless utility blades) and clean the blade after contact with blood or moisture. Consider the Morakniv Fire Kit and a dedicated belt loop accessory for extended outdoor use.
