Smoke air-sampling detector Nedis DTCTCS10WT, white, battery powered 3 V Li‑Ion, 134 mm diameter
The Nedis DTCTCS10WT is a white, battery-powered air-sampling smoke and carbon monoxide detector designed for homes and offices. With a compact 134 mm diameter and a built-in non-removable 3 V Li‑Ion battery, the unit provides long-term protection and continuous monitoring for smoke particles and CO concentrations. The device combines a next-generation optical smoke sensor with a high-quality electrochemical CO sensor to detect fire-related smoke and invisible, odourless carbon monoxide, complying with EN 14604 and EN 50291 standards.
The detector integrates dual sensing technologies to deliver earlier and more reliable detection of smoke and carbon monoxide while reducing false alarms. The built-in lithium battery and the durable sensors are rated for up to 10 years, minimising maintenance and battery replacement. A loud alarm of over 85 dB ensures audible warning throughout living spaces, and a large front test/pause button allows quick functional checks with a single hand. The compact design and included mounting kit make ceiling or wall installation straightforward.
Install the detector on a ceiling or high on a wall using the supplied screws and mounting plate, following local installation guidelines and the included manual. After mounting, allow the built-in battery to stabilise and test the unit by pressing the large front button; the alarm should sound if the device is functioning. The detector continuously monitors the air; if smoke particles or elevated carbon monoxide levels are detected the alarm will sound immediately. Follow local safety procedures if the alarm is activated: evacuate the premises and contact emergency services as required.
Test the detector weekly using the front button and clean the housing periodically with a dry cloth to prevent dust buildup. Replace the detector when either the battery or sensor reaches the end of its estimated service life (up to 10 years) or when the device indicates a fault. Install detectors on every level of the building and near sleeping areas for optimal coverage, and avoid placing the unit directly next to cooking appliances or bathrooms to reduce nuisance alarms.
