200 mm Compound Wire Stripper NEO 01-540 is a handheld tool for precise insulation removal and terminal crimping. The 200 mm length and 318 g weight make it suitable for controlled stripping operations in electrical installation and maintenance. The jaws are made of Cr12moV steel with 52–60 HRC hardness for long service life; the tool also includes a wire cutter and an ergonomic overmoulded handle for comfortable use.
The NEO 01-540 combines compound-action stripping and crimping in one tool, covering insulation stripping from 0.5 to 6 mm2 (22–10 AWG) and crimping for terminals from 0.5 to 8 mm2. Hardened Cr12moV jaws (52–60 HRC) increase durability, while the integrated wire cutter and overmoulded ergonomic handle provide convenient, single-handed operation. Supplied as a single piece with a compact 200 mm size and a lightweight 318 g design.
Place the conductor into the appropriate stripping slot, close the jaws to cut the insulation without nicking the conductor, then pull the tool to remove the insulation. For crimping, insert the stripped conductor and terminal into the correct crimping cavity and squeeze the handles firmly until the crimp is complete. Use the integrated cutter to trim wires to length. Follow normal electrical safety practices and ensure the tool is used on de-energised circuits.
Use the specified wire and terminal size ranges to avoid damaging the tool or workpiece. Keep the jaws clean and periodically inspect for wear; replace the tool if cutting or crimping quality degrades. Store in a dry place to prevent corrosion.
