Sealing tape NEO tools 02-031, 1 pc, lightweight 14 g
NEO tools 02-031 sealing tape is a compact roll of PTFE tape supplied as a single piece, designed for creating reliable seals on threaded pipe and hydraulic connections during light repair and maintenance tasks. The tape is lightweight and easy to store in a toolbox; the plastic roll contains 10 m of water-resistant tape with a thickness of 0.075 mm and a width of 12 mm, making it suitable for tightening hydraulic fittings and general household plumbing where a thin, conformable sealing material is required.
The tape is made of water-resistant PTFE (Teflon), which provides low friction and chemical inertness suitable for sealing hydraulic and plumbing threads. Its 12 mm width and 0.075 mm thickness allow neat application in confined spaces, while the 10 m roll length ensures multiple uses from a single pack. The lightweight construction and compact plastic roll simplify storage and handling for both occasional household users and professionals performing light service work.
Clean the threaded surfaces of dirt, grease and old sealant before application. Pull out the required length of PTFE tape from the plastic roll, wrap it around the male thread in the direction of thread rotation, overlapping by about half the tape width on each turn. Smooth the tape into the thread with a finger so that it conforms to the thread profile, then tighten the fitting to create a leak-resistant seal. Use more layers for coarser threads or higher-pressure hydraulic connections, but avoid excessive buildup that could prevent proper engagement of fittings.
Store the roll in a dry place away from direct sunlight. For hydraulic systems and higher-pressure applications, verify compatibility of PTFE tape with the fluid used and follow manufacturer torque specifications for fittings. Replace tape when threads are damaged or when reassembling components after prolonged service.
