Sealing tape NEO tools 02-032, pack 1, weight 24 g
NEO tools 02-032 is a compact sealing tape supplied as a single roll with a net weight of 24 g. The tape is made of water-resistant PTFE (Teflon), has a thickness of 0.2 mm and a width of 19 mm, and the plastic roll contains 15 m of tape. It is designed for sealing joints and tightening hydraulic and threaded pipe connections in general repair, maintenance and household tasks where a thin, reliable sealing material is required.
The tape’s PTFE composition provides chemical and water resistance and ensures a low-friction, non-adhesive surface that conforms to thread profiles for reliable sealing. Its 0.2 mm thickness and 19 mm width make it suitable for confined spaces and fine-threaded fittings while the 15 m length on a plastic roll offers multiple uses from a single pack. The lightweight roll is easy to carry to job sites and suitable for quick on-site fixes.
Before application, clean and dry threaded surfaces to remove debris, oil and corrosion. Start wrapping the tape at the end of the male thread, holding the tape under slight tension and overlapping each turn by approximately half the tape width. Wrap in the direction of thread rotation so the tape does not unwind during assembly. Typically 2–5 turns are sufficient depending on thread size and condition; trim the tape and assemble the fitting, tightening to the required torque for the connection.
Use PTFE tape when a water- and chemical-resistant seal is needed for threaded pipe connections. Avoid using PTFE tape on fittings that require conductive connections or where thread sealant paste is specified. For high-pressure hydraulic systems, follow manufacturer guidance on acceptable sealing materials and use the number of tape wraps appropriate for the thread type and pressure rating.
