Screwdriver bit NEO tools 09-588 — 1/4" drive, Torx T40, 50 mm
NEO tools 09-588 is a Torx T40 screwdriver bit with a 1/4" (6.35 mm) hex drive and a 50 mm working length. Supplied as a set of five impact-rated bits in blister packaging, these S2 tool steel tips are designed for use with manual bit holders, 1/4" drill-drivers, impact drivers and cordless drills that accept 1/4" bits. The bits are cold-forged for consistent geometry and dimensional stability, enabling reliable engagement with Torx fasteners during assembly, maintenance and repair tasks.
The bits are made from S2 tool steel and cold-forged to provide high strength and wear resistance. An integrated tip-slipping protection system reduces cam-out and improves contact with the fastener, while a torque absorption system limits peak stress on the tip and extends service life. The design supports a high tightening torque of up to 21.8 Nm, making these bits suitable for professional use where repeatable performance and durability are required.
Select a compatible 1/4" bit holder or chuck and insert the NEO tools T40 bit securely. Engage the bit with the Torx screw head ensuring full seating to minimise cam-out. When using an impact driver, allow the torque absorption system to cushion peak loads; when using manual drivers, apply steady pressure and control rotation speed. After use, store the bits in their original packaging or a dedicated bit holder to protect the tips from damage and corrosion.
For prolonged service life, use the bits with properly adjusted torque settings and avoid side loading. Replace bits showing visible deformation or wear. Use impact-rated drivers for repetitive high-torque operations to take advantage of the torque absorption system and reduce wear.
